What we see:

• The lymphoid population is predominated by small lymphocytes with lower numbers of intermediate to large lymphocytes. Low numbers of neutrophils are present.  
• Interpretation: Reactive buccal/facial lymph node 
  
  

Let's talk about this case...

• Buccal lymph nodes (aka facial lymph nodes) are present on the muzzle. They are not present in all dogs. 
• These lymph nodes can become enlarged just like any other lymph node. They most often become reactive in young, teething dogs.
